Join the Inaugural Class
To create lasting impact, Forge a Vibrant Future, and provide an opportunity to immediately apply concepts from the 2025 Human Services Summit, Leadership for a Networked World and Change and Innovation Agency are launching the inaugural Leaders Activation Lab. Selected human services executives will join Action Teams to design and test innovative solutions to address the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities, focusing on:
- Implementation of H.R. 1 – Developing new innovations in response to the changes Congress has put forward.
- Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Designing novel strategies to overcome barriers to AI adoption in human services or harness its potential to improve capacity and outcomes.
- Economic Wellbeing – Activating new solutions to advance individual and community economic wellbeing.
About the Activation Lab
Participants selected to join the inaugural cohort will engage in a 9-month program, meeting for up to six virtual sessions and one possible in-person session between January and August 2026.
During these sessions, cohort members will actively engage in Action Teams and work with their peers to share experiences brainstorm and test ideas, develop and prototype innovations, and present final solutions to the Leaders Activation Lab team. Participants will also receive two individual coaching and consulting sessions to strengthen leadership and implementation capabilities.
Who Should Apply?
Lab participants are senior-level, health and human services executives, who aspire to improve outcomes and impact in the short term and design new solutions for the future. Regardless of title, all participants are “Chief Transformation Officers” in practice – leaders who strive to achieve equity in outcomes and build the social and economic mobility and wellness that help people, families, and communities thrive.
